A four-day business student meet, GEM-2006, was held at Gandhi Institute erf Technology And Management (GITAM) in Visakhapatnam. Around 450 students from 37 business schools all across the country participated in this GITAM Excellence Meet. The COO (South Asia) of HSBC, Malcom Wagget, attended the function as the chief guest. Some other dignitaries who were also present in the inaugural session included M.V.VS. Murthy, GITAM president and for mer MP, Prof. L.I. Venugopala Reddy, Vice Chancellor of Andhra University and Saila-ja Kiron, Managing Director, Margadarshi Chitfunds Ltd.
