Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), shall host the 2nd World Summit of Global Mega Universities (GMUNET) in the capital from 23-25 September, 2005.
The theme of this Conference is Cross Border Delivery: Experiences of Mega Universities.
The summit shall be organized at the newly built conference complex of IGNOU in its main campus.
The main objective of the summit is to share experiences and achieve collaborations between 20 mega universities of the world.
An exhibition on course materials, audio/video multi-media materials etc. will be organized for the participating universities.
The first World Summit of Mega Universities was organized jointly by the Chinese National Commission of UNESCO, China Central Radio and TV University, Shanghai Distance Education Group, Shanghai TV University and UNESCO headquarters in Paris on 6th-7th November, 2003.
