Admissions for the various Graduation and Post Graduation Programs - July 2005 session are open
Admissions for the various graduation and post graduation programmes for the session commencing July, 2005 of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) shall open from Monday, the 30th May, 2005, announced Prof. S. C. Garg, Pro-VC.
These are: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Computer Application, Bachelor of Tourism Studies, Bachelor of Library and Information Science and Bachelor Social Work. Masters degree programmes include Master of Arts in English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Economics, Rural Development, Tourism Management, Master of Commerce, Master of Library and Information Science and Master of Science in Dietetics and Food Service Management.
The Student Handbook & Prospectus can be obtained from all the Regional Centres of IGNOU or from Registrar, SR&E Division, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi 110068, in person on payment of Rs 50/- (Rupees fifty only) in cash or through post by sending an IPO/Demand Draft of Rs 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at the city from where the Prospectus is required. An electronic version of the Prospectus is also available at IGNOU website at www.ignou.ac.in which can be downloaded and submitted alongwith demand draft of Rs 50/- in addition to the programme fee.
The sale of prospectus will commence from 30th May, 2005 and the last date to receive the requisition for supply of Student Handbook by post is 15th July, .2005 and last date for submission of filled-in forms at the concerned Regional Centre is 31st July, 2005. The addresses of IGNOU regional centres are available at IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in.
The University has a provision of 3000 South Asia Foundation (SAF)- Madanjeet Singh scholarships for Post Graduate and vocational training programmes. Students from economically and socially disadvantaged background shall be preferred for these scholarships on the basis of their past academic records and interview.
