New Academic Programmes on offer from July 2005 session
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) proposes to launch several new academic programmes from July 2005 session informed Prof. S.C. Garg, Pro-Vice Chancellor of IGNOU. These are M.Sc in Dietetics and Food Service Management, M.A. in Rural Development, M.A. in Economics, M.A. in Sociology, M.A. in Public Administration and Certificate in ICT Applications in Libraries. All these programmes will be in English medium initially.
For M.A. programmes the eligibility criteria is Bachelors Degree from any recognised institute and for M.Sc. Dietetics & Food Service Management, the candidate should be B.Sc in Home Science or PG Diploma holder in Dietetics & Public Health or its equivalent or a Graduate in Science, Health Care, Medical, Pharmaceutical Catering alongwith either the DNHE/CNCC/CFN offered by IGNOU.
For details students can seek information from the Information Centre of IGNOU or can log on to www.ignou.ac.in. The prospectus and forms would be available from 30th May 2005 at the headquarters in Maidan Garhi or from concerned Regional Centres of IGNOU.
