The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Delhi section is hosting the IEEE All India Student Congress 2006 (AISC). The All India Student Congress’ purpose driven proceedings aimed at instilling, equipping, training and networking the various Student Branches of the IEEE across the country and its volunteers. Being an annual feature initiated by the IEEE All India council, the Student Congress will be held on June 29-30 at the Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi. The theme of the congress is “synergise… create… celebrate engineering” in keeping with the intention of the organisers to make the 2006 AISC a platform for healthy and sustainable interaction between delegates.
The congress would be witness to a lot of activities - technical or otherwise. In addition to the usual technical paper presentation and lecture series by prominent professionals from the industry, the congress includes the All India Engineering Fair(AIF). A first ever initiative of its kind, AIF would be a joint display-cum-sale exhibition of models engineered by students from across India. The fair would have two sections, namely, Idea Display -where participants will be required to display their original ideas related to technology and applied sciences, through poster illustrations- and Product Display in which participants will be required to display self engineered and practically applicable working models of things. The primary motive of the AIF is to create a platform for showcasing the “idea” that is the genesis of participation and winning competitions.
