Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management & Research, New Delhi, recently celebrated its Annual Day Function. Chief guest Brij M Sharma, AVP & Cluster Head (Retail), Delhi North, IDBI Bank, talked about growing opportunities in the retail sector which was the fastest growing sec¬tor in the country today with estimated growth potential of 20% per annum. Guest of honour Mukesh Gupta, Director (R&D), Microtek Ltd, emphasised on Indian values which the outgoing students must imbibe in order to be more stable and successful in life.
The guests and director Sachin Vernekar later released Harmony 2005-06, students’ annual magazine. Copies of magazine were distributed amongst the guests, faculty and students.
In his address, Vernekar informed the guests of the institute’s past achievements. He appreciated the contribution of students and faculty in arranging conferences/guest/ lectures/events/sports & competitions and winning awards in various competitive activities. Brij Mohan Sharma and Mukesh Gupta later distributed prizes, trophies and certificaies for academic and other achievements.
