The Southern Methodist University, Dallas and Boston University have shown interest in entering tieups with Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIMC) for internship. The tieups will be targeted at students from the executive development programmes. For IIMC, it would be for students of the postgraduate programme for executive course which is starting later this year.
As part of the tieup, at IIMC, the institute would arrange for lectures and orientation. The institute will speak to corporates about the internship. The institute would soon approach corporates, which have a substantial presence in Kolkata, including Wipro and ITC. The institute plans to take the programmes at an expanded level in other cities.
