National Knowledge Commission (NKC) is considering application of scientific knowledge in traditional medicinal science as one of the key areas. Sam Pitroda, chairman, NKC, said: “Traditional medicinal heritage is our strength and global promotion requires scientific temper,” at an informal meeting with academicians at the Foundation For Revitalisation of Local Health Traditions (FRLHT).Hesaidthata working group has been formed, headed by Darshan Shankar, director, FRLHT, to forward the suggestions to NKC on enhancing the scope of traditional knowledge globally.
