Endeavour Vocational and Technical Education Awards

The awards enable students from eligible countries in the Asia-Pacific region to undertake vocational and technical education at a diploma or advanced diploma level at an Australian institution (public and private providers). Awards are open to all fields of study. Up to 20 awards will be offered in 2007. Benefits include A$5,000 travel allowance; A$4,000 establishment allowance; up to A$13,000 tuition fees each year (for up to two years); a monthly stipend of $1500 (up to two-and-a-half years on a pro-rata basis); and English language training valued at up A$15000 (if required). Duration of the award is up to two-and-a-half years consisting of one semester’s English language training (where required); and up to two years study towards a diploma or advanced diploma.

Requirements: Be citizens or permanent residents of an eligible participating country (including India); physically residing in that country at the time of application; have a year 12 certificate or equivalent; and demonstrate English language proficiency (IELTS academic test with a minimum score of 6/ TOEFL paper-based test score of at least 547, including a score of at least 4.5 in the Test of Written English/ TOEFL computer-based test score of at least 210 including an essay writing score of at least 4.5).
