AIMA is Holding a three-day Workshop on Training the TrainersAIMA is holding a three-day workshop on ‘Training the trainers’ - scheduled to be held on August 17 -19 at Hotel Orchid, Mumbai; September 28-30 at Hotel Taj West End, Bangalore and October 12-14 at Hotel Taj Bengal, Kolkata. The workshop is meant to enhance the designing and delivery skills of trainers. Admission will be on the basis of first-cum-first-serve.

Convocation @ AIMA All India Management Association's (AIMA) Centre for Management Education recently organised its 12th convocation. R A Yadav, chairman, AICTE, was present as the chief guest at the occasion.The convocation was also presided over by G K Nischol, director general, AIMA, Subir Raha, president, AIMA, and N M Kondap, Board of Studies CME, among others. In his address Yadav, said: "It's not doing a PGDM but where you do it from that matters." He also stressed on innovation, versatility, speed, impact of colleagues and importance of management in the country.
The Teacher Foundation (TTF) is organising a three-day workshop 'Getting Ahead - Ideas for Improving Schools', exclusively for heads of schools and teachers in leadership roIes. The workshop will provide hands-on methods to improve the management and teaching-learning processes in schools, besides being an opportunity to explore humanistic, people-centred ways of effecting change and improvement in school systems. Conducting Getting Ahead' will be international trainers Andrew Blow, Sylvia McNamara and Christine Olley. One day workshop for IIM-L students FOR inculcating a sense of corporate responsibility among budding managers, the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIML) will be holding a one-day workshop on January 12. The workshop, an annual affair, is being jointly organsied by IIM-L students and faculty members. BAR, an organisation dedicated to raise the level, fitness trainers in India has announced opening BAR LAUNCHED BAR, an organisation dedicated to raise the level of the fitness trainers in India has announced opening of its first centre in Delhi. It will coach Indian fitness trainers, who want to clear international certification! exams by helping them structuring their goals, coaching them individually and helping them identifying their problem areas. The Delhi center is the third one in the country after Chennai and Bangalore.
CAT workshop Triumphant Institute of Management Education (T.I.M.E.) recently organised a counselling workshop on CAT 2007 at its centres in Delhi (Connaught Place) and Noida. The workshop included a special training session for students where expert faculty provided specific guidelines to crack questions. Workshop for the underprivileged Aptech, the Delhi-based institute for IT training services, recently concluded a workshop on soft skills development for underprivileged children, to empower the children of the vulnerable section of society. Conducted in association with Hope Foundation, a nonprofit making organisation, the workshop was attended by 11 to 15-year-old children. The children were taught basic communication skills, etiquette and general awareness.
Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIML), has introduced a training programme for principals and senior faculty of the primary schools in Uttar Pradesh. The programme is called Managerial skills for District Institute of Education Training (DIET) Principals and Senior Faculty. The first such workshop was held in March 2006 and buoyed by the response, IIML conducted the second workshop between June 5 and 9, 2007.
