The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, will be setting up a new campus in Rajarhat in West Bengal. The Ministry of Human Resources and Development has sanctioned a Rs. 25,000 crore grant for the establishment of this 10-acre campus. Classes are scheduled to commence from the academic session of 2008-09.
