According to a news report, SAP India and the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (I1M-B) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work on areas of common interest with special focus on e-governance. The MoU will see SAP support HM-Bs Centre for Enterprise Resource Planning and the span of activity would include conducting industry specific conferences, workshops and round table discussions. There would be a special focus on working with government ministries and departments for e-gover-nance activities.
Shyamal Roy, dean-academic, IIM-B, said that the alliance will encourage joint research case studies. On the other hand, tie up with an educational body will help SAP create a talent pool which will be familiar with companys technology solutions.
