AICTE, New Delhi Invites an Award Scheme for Technical Textbooks

The All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi invites entries under its TAKNIKI PATHYA PUSTAK PURASKAR YOJNA for the financial year 2005-2006. Polytechnic/Diploma Level Textbooks written and/or translated into Hindi, published during the last five years (from financial year 2000-2001 to 2004-2005). Hindi textbook related to any of the branches of technical education viz. Engineering & Technology, Computer Science, Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Architecture, Town & Country Planning, Management and Pharmacy etc. will be considered for prizes under the scheme.

The Scheme mainly aims at promoting the creation of excellent textbooks in the above mentioned areas in the official language Hindi and also to encourage the writers to provide up-to-date knowledge to the students in Hindi language.

The selected textbooks in Hindi will be considered for the following prizes:

FIRST PRIZE - Rs. 51,000/-
SECOND PRIZE - Rs. 31,000/-
THIRD PRIZE - Rs. 21,000/-
For writing/translating technical textbooks in Hindi.

SPECIAL CATEGORY - Rs. 10,000/-
Hindi translation of guidelines/ Handbooks/manuals of instruments/equipments/ tools of daily use in houses/ laboratories/workshops etc. which are available in English only.

The details and application form for the scheme can be obtained either in person from the Counter, AlCTE Hqs., New Delhi or by writing to the Hindi Officer, All India Council For Technical Education, l.G. Sports Complex, I.P. Estate, New Delhi - 110002.

Application forms duly filled in along with four copies of the textbooks may be sent to AlCTE (Hq.) so as to reach the Council latest by 08-09-2006.
