Noida police now have their own bomb disposal team. The team comprises a sub-inspector, a head constable and two constables. Sophisticated bomb detection and disposal equipment has also been specially brought in.
The team has arrived from Lucknow and will be based in the barracks at the Sector-20 police station.
According to district police chief, R K S Rathor: The bomb disposal squad is equipped with hand-held detectors, a prodder and other detection equipment that allows the team to detect and disarm bombs even in difficult conditions.
Until the Noida police got its own bomb squad on Thursday evening, it used to depend on the squad of the provincial armed constabulary in Ghaziabad.
