Adelphi University Masters in Social Work
The Adelphi University Graduate School of Social Work offers a comprehensive Master of Social Work (MSW) program and a doctoral social work program at all four campuses in Garden City, Long Island; Hauppauge, Long Island; downtown Manhattan; and Poughkeepsie, New York, in the Hudson Valley. Graduate students can now take their full M.S.W. program in Manhattan (minus one required course that must be taken at the main campus in Garden City). Classes are conveniently offered in the evenings and on Saturday.
The Master of Social Work program offers an integrative, multi-method curriculum designed to develop intellectual rigor, compassionate understanding, humanitarian values, and skills for providing the most effective help possible. Methods taught range from direct practice with individuals, families, and groups to social research and community change through improved policy and program development, advocacy, and social action.
