S K Gupta, dean, Institute of Clinical Research (India), represented the country at the Drug Information Association (DIA) 42nd Annual meet held recently in Philadelphia, US. Gupta presented a paper on Training programmes in clinical research in India among other pharmaceutical, biotechnology and regulatory professionals from around the world. Gupta said, The conference provided a platform to emphasise that India is a fast emerging destination for conducting global trials due to availability of vast pool of patients and well-trained medical professionals along with technological infrastructure.
