Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) has announced the Agilent Technologies All India Best B.Tech Project Award 2005 for engineering students in the country.
The contest aims to identify two hands-on-engineers across India who will get an opportunity to go for an all-expense paid one-month internship at Agilents best-in-class facilities in the US or UK.
Open to B.Tech and dual degree (B.Tech+M.Tech) students doing their projects in the electronics and telecommunications area, the contest entails evaluating the projects done by the students as part of their mandatory curriculum, to identify the winners.
Participation in the contest is through invitation only. In the first year, institutes that are being invited include HTs, BITS, Pilani, NITs. DCE, among others. This list would be expanded in the subsequent years.
Commencing in January 2005 the contest would involve two rounds of short-listing, first at the institute level to be done by the faculty of the participating engineering colleges, and the second one by an independent jury.
The final round of the selection process would be held in New Delhi on June 24, 2005, where all the short-listed students would participate. The last date for registering for the contest is February 15, 2005, and for submitting short-listed entries by institutes is May 20, 2005.
