Information
On Day Two of the Common Entrance Test (CET),which was attended by 87,020 students, a case of impersonation was reported from Bangalore. The day registered 98 per cent attendance for both physics and chemistry papers, which underlined the current trend - majority of the candidates opting for engineering courses.

One Shobha, daughter of K.S. Murari from Bijapur, landed in Reva Institute of Technology instead of the original candidate, Pratibha, in whose name the hall ticket was issued. The invigilators and the squad members got suspicious and booked her for malpractice. We have seized her admission ticket, question paper and OMR sheet. However, the original candidate never turned up. The local police has taken up the case and Shobha is being interrogated, CET special officer D.N. Nayak told The Times of India.

Rumours about the chemistry paper leak on Wednesday turned out to be hoax. On Tuesday too, some students in Kolar got a maths question paper, but when the deputy commissioner verified it with the original, the papers did not match, Nayak added.

Kannada test: On Thursday, Horanadu and Gadinadu candidates will take the Kannada language test at the CET cell in Malleshwaram. Aptitude test for B. Arch will be held on May 6. The answer key for CET will be ready by May 14 and candidates will be given four days time to challenge the answers. The last date for submitting objections to the answer key is May 18.

The CET Cell will put out the rank list on June 1. The cell has announced June 14 as the date of commencement of the seat selection process.
