Information
Minister for Health and Medical Education Suman Bhagat inaugurated a lane and drain constructed at a cost of Rs.1.30 lakh at Chohala in R.S.Pura Tehsil this morning.
The Minister complimented the executing agency for completing the project in time. She said that the coalition Government is fully determined to provide basic amenities of life to all especially those residing in the border areas of the State. She said that during past two and a half years a number of major and minor projects have been taken up including the construction of panchayat ghars and school buildings and most of these have been completed with the cooperation of locals while the rest are at the completion stage. She said that drinking water and power supply has been improved to a large extent especially in the rural areas while the villages have been linked through roads with the towns and cities.
Responding to the demand of the people, the Minister announced Rs. 50000 for construction of a road in Chohala.
The Minister said that work on degree college in R. S. Pura would start soon. She stated that an AMT school too would be established in the area at the earliest.
Later, a large number of deputations from different villages met the Minister and put forth their demands.
