The Central Crime Branch police on Thursday interrogated five drivers and the owner of a cab company, whose vehicles were used to distribute leaked question papers to students in self-financed engineering colleges.
According to M. Anbumozhi, Assistant Commissioner of Police, four cars were hiredfor the distribution of the leaked question papers.
Mr. Anbumozhi said the hired vehicles picked up question papers from the centre and sent them to different destinations.
The police would also question the Controller and Deputy Controller of Examinations, he said.
The police have arrested 14 students and three daily wage earners of Anna University for their alleged involvement in the question paper leak scam.
During the second week of last month, Central Crime Branch personnel questioned the principals of SRM, Valliammal, Tagore, Crescent and Bharath engineering colleges. More than 25 persons were still evading arrest, CCB authorities said.
