A seven-member team headed by Dr K Balaveera Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) will visit Germany on June 29 to evaluate Franchise Training Centre Cooperation with Bosch Rexroth, Germany.
VTU and Bosch Rexroth are jointly planning to establish a state-of-the-art training centre on industrial drives and controls in India. If established, this centre would be the third training centre in the world. The other two centres are in Germany and South Korea.
The team will also visit the German companies - Festo and Diamante Metall Plastic - that have signed MoU with VTU to foster industry-academic partnership. The visiting team, besides Reddy, consists of Dr G L Shekhar, Dr K Venkatesh, Mr Gopal Srivastava, Mr Sharad Srivastava, Mr Achim Schultz and Mr Carsten, according to Dr M S Shivakumar, Registrar, VTU.
