Student wounded in Kashmir blast

A college student was wounded in a grenade attack by suspected terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, police said.

The student was injured when terrorists lobbed a grenade that exploded outside the government college at Baramulla town.

Fortunately the street outside the college was deserted when the explosion occurred, a police officer said.

Nine soldiers were killed and nearly 30 wounded when terrorists set off a car bomb in a high security zone of the summer capital Srinagar last week.

Authorities across Kashmir are on high alert to avert possible terrorists strikes.
