Harry Beckwith visited Amity Business School, NOIDA. He is a renowned branding consultant to worlds premier brand consulting firm, Beckwith Partners and works with 23 Fortune 500 companies. He has authored several books noteworthy among them being Selling the Invisible which is acclaimed as the international business bestseller with over 2,40,000 copies in print.
His lecture on Managing the Invisible at Amity Business School was extremely insightful and a great learning experience. He talked about service as a performance which is greatly influenced by Price, Power of a Brand, Packaging and Relationships. Price according to him communicates the value and therefore higher the price, higher the perceived value by the customer.
He also emphasized that companies representing the services sector should be even more committed to building a brand because of the high level of intangibility associated with this sector. Also companies in the services sector should focus on the depth of a brand. He also highlighted the importance of clarity and brevity of communication in services and the importance of customer relationship management in services.
He concluded his talk by encouraging the audience to believe in themselves and have the courage to take risks.
