Jyoti Pre-University College in the city has won the prestigious NCERT Award-2005 for Best Practices in Vocational Education.

The award instituted by PSS Central Institute of Vocational Education under the National Council of Educational Research and Training, Bhopal, carries a memento and certificate. The award was received by the college principal, A.A. Ghorpade, at a function in Bhopal recently. The award was presented by the Vice-Chancellor of Barkatulha University, R.S. Shiroshi
