Information
The Dakshina Kannada Bus Operators Association will insist on students carrying the bus passes provided by the association while travelling and its renewal on time.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, the president of the association, Bhaskar Salian, said the association is facing difficulties owing to students not producing passes. Many students do not produce passes and demand concessional tickets from the conductor, and this often results in disputes between the bus crew and the students. Bus operators have also realised that a few commuters who are not really students also demand 60 per cent concessional fare. The association wants to give the benefit of concessional passes only to students, Mr. Salian said.
