Counselling for MBA to continue today

The second round of counselling for admission to MBA for 2005-06 from ranks 1 to last rank exclusively for candidates from the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Castes began on Wednesday and will continue on Thursday at PGCET Cell, Visvesvaraya Technological University, Jnana Sangam campus, Belgaum, and BMS College of Engineering, Bull Temple Road, Bangalore.

According to M.S. Shivakumar, Member Secretary, Common Postgraduate Admission Committee and Registrar of VTU, only interested candidates belonging to these categories may attend the counselling. Seats remaining vacant after this round will be transferred to the general merit category.

The seat matrix for the second round of counselling for merged SC/ST seats is 141 and 50 for OBC (merged).

The candidates, who remained absent, selected or have not been selected for seat allotment in the first round, can attend the second round and are required to bring the original provisional admission order and receipt issued in the first round.
