How relevant are Mahatma Gandhis teachings today? The Gandhi Peace Foundation offers courses that keep the Gandhian teachings alive.
His philosophy secured our countrys independence, shaped it into the modern secular nation that it is today. But how many of us are really conversant with Gandhian thought? And just how relevant is Gandhian thought today? Well, you can find out for yourself, at the Gandhi Peace Foundation.
The Foundation offers a range of certificate courses on Gandhian thought on subjects like Children For Peace to Ethics and Social Welfare, that allows you discover Gandhi.
Course content
The course is inexpensive. The following courses for school students are priced at Rs. 15 each. They include: Gandhi for Children (for class IV); Children for Peace (for class V); Gandhi as a Student (for class VI); Gandhi as a Lawyer (for class VII); Gandhi as a Satyagrahi (for class VIII); Gandhi as a Constructive Worker (for classes IX and X); Gandhi as a Doctor (for classes XI and XII).
The courses for college students are priced at Rs 20 each and for teachers are priced at Rs.30 each.
Admission procedure
Students and teachers may enroll through their schools and colleges. Textbooks and other resource material, available in English will be sent by post. These courses are meant to understand Gandhian ideology, and Gandhian thought.
Interested persons may send the fees along with Rs. 20 for postage with money orders or DDs in favour of Gandhi peace Foundation.
