CET seat sharing jinx broken; SC fixes upon 65:35 ratio

The SC approved an agreement between the Karanataka government and the Association of Private Medical and Engineering Colleges allowing admissions to these insititutions under a seat-sharing ratio of 65:35 for government and managament for the academic year 2005-06.

The Supreme Court today approved an agreement between the Karanataka government and the Association of Private Medical and Engineering Colleges allowing admissions to these insititutions under a seat-sharing ratio of 65:35 for government and managament for the academic year 2005-06.

The Court said as the vital issues pertaining to admissions to private professional colleges is pending before a seven-judge Constitution Bench, the admissions to private professsional colleges for the academic year 2005-06 would be done on the basis of the agreement
