Teachers of colleges across the State have sought a clear higher education policy as they do not find the policy put forth by Higher Education Task Force comprehensible.
The annual general meeting of the Federation of University and College Teachers Associations in Karnataka resolved to ask to be included in the framing of a policy. A sub-committee was formed after the task force submitted its report, but the government has not taken any decision based on its recommendations, it has not spelt out its stand on issues such as filling up of vacancies. They should take us into confidence before taking any decision, said Fuctak chief Prof A M Narahari.
