Information
With 83-affiliated institutions in less than seven years, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is growing at a rapid pace.

According to K K Aggarwal, vice chancellor, GGSIPU, We are concentrating more on maintaining quality and consolidating the existing structure rather than giving affiliations.

Even this year, we have granted affiliation to only two new institutions though we had more than 25 such requests. The two new institutions, which have been added to the varsity are the Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education and Lalita Devi Institute of Management and Science. Both institutions are situated on the outskirts of Delhi and are offering Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Journalism (Mass Communication) programmes. Our aim is to reach out to those areas where we have not made a mark yet, said Aggarwal.

The varsity has its own system of monitoring the huge number of affiliated institutions. For every five to six colleges added to GGSIPU we employ a staff of 10 people at the university.
