IT teaching package launched

IT KIDS, a special package of teaching material aimed at assisting students and teachers hone their IT skills, brought out by Mysore-based Raman International Institute of Information Technology (RiiiT) was launched at BangaloreIT.in.

Secretary to the Department of Information and Technology M.S. Shankarlinge Gowda released the package, according to a press statement from RiiiT.

During the launch, Mr. Gowda said better learning facilities will help rural students face academic and career-oriented challenges. He hoped that learning tools such as IT kids will help students hone their IT skills and build a career in the knowledge sector. The IT Kids package consists of material for students to recap previous topics, exercises, puzzles, besides quiz and crosswords with illustrations.

For effective assimilation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills, students and teachers are provided with a digital walkthrough, lab exercises, Internet learning and classroom presentation.
