CSC announces merit scholarships for 2006

CSC, a computer training centre, has announced the Merit 2006 Scholarship for students from poor and middle class families. Students can use their tenth, Plus Two, diploma, and graduate and postgraduate mark sheets to use the scholarship for courses, including multimedia, DTP, JAVA, Tally, .Net, J2EE etc., conducted by CSC. The scheme, on till August 14, is open for all.

A total of 75 per cent scholarship will be offered for students with an aggregate of over 85 per cent, 60 per cent scholarship for students with 75 to 85 per cent, 50 per cent scholarship for those with 60 to 75 per cent, and a minimum of 30 per cent scholarship of the course fee for those with less than 60 per cent.

The duration of the courses is between two and six months depending on the package.

Our organisation has 325 centres across Tamil Nadu. This year, we expect 50,000 to 60,000 students to benefit from the scheme. The training company has an agreement with JobsDB.com to help successful students get jobs even outside the country, says T. Iyamperumal, Managing Director of CSC.
