IITs cancel allotment of seats

Filed under:

Date

Information
The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have cancelled allotment of seats for general category candidates with All India Rank (AIR) 1601 and above. This decision was taken because of mistakes found in the list which showed availability and non availability of courses. Now candidates are required to submit fresh choices to the institutes latest by 17th July. If candidates do not submit their choices within a stipulated period, their seats would be allotted on the basis of choices made earlier.

However, allotment of courses to the candidates with AIR between 01 and 1600 (including all categories) will remain unchanged. The candidates who were absent in the earlier counseling process, can not submit their choices now.
