The Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) department of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) is poised to offer a five-year integrated masters programme, leading to Master of Arts (M.A.) degree, from the academic year 2006-07. This Masters programme will be offered in three disciplines - Development Studies, Economics and English Studies.
