Himachal Pradesh University has declared the results of the fresh Combined Pre Medical Test that it conducted after the High Court found massive leakage of question papers and bungling in the test conducted on May 26 this year.
The results have startled one and all and virtually endorsed the judgment of the Court that had observed that some very mediocre students had made it to the top and the meritorious students could not qualify or lagged behind in the merit list in the original test.
The State Assembly was rocked by a debate on the examination scam over the last two days and the Opposition had even staged a walkout from the House on Tuesday. The Chief Minister had assured exemplary punishment for those involved in the scam.
