Duke University Selects Elluminate Solution for Enterprise-Wide Deployment
Elluminate, Inc., a leading provider of live eLearning and web collaboration solutions for real-time organizations, and Duke University announced today that the university has selected Elluminate Live!® Academic Edition to support and enhance distance education, research and collaboration on a global level. Selection criteria used during the universitys extensive competitive analysis and pilot program included a broad feature set, cross-platform support, participant control for classroom and session management, universal accessibility, security and architecture tailored to enterprise-wide integration.
Duke is a global institution with an immediate need to extend its reach in terms of affecting teaching, learning and research. We wanted to find a single solution that would best meet the needs of the entire Duke community, providing functionality for distance education, opportunities for collaboration and support for outreach activities, said Ben Rogers, project manager in Dukes Digital Media Solutions group. For the selection process, we put together advisory groups of stakeholders from all major schools and departments. In addition, our technical team addressed implementation issues within the context of enterprise-wide deployment on the same level as email or calendaring. We considered literally hundreds of tools, piloted four products and ultimately selected Elluminate Live!
