Rivers govt widens scholarship for youths Sends another 100 to Malaysia for varsity education

THE on-going efforts of the Rivers State Government to transform the states education sector have been stepped up with the awards of full scholarship to yet another 108 of Rivers indigenes to study different undergraduate courses at the prestigious University of Nottingham, Malaysia campus, a British university.

These young scholars who left for Malaysia last month are the second batch of this generous scholarship awards, with 102 indigenes of the state earlier in the year sent to Kuban State University of Technology, Krasnodar, Southern Russia where they are studying Medicine and Engineering courses.
