Melbourne Inst Tech Univ selects integrated library management system
Endeavor Information Systems , one of the leading worldwide providers of library management software, today announced that Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University has selected Voyager®, the companys flagship integrated library systems (ILS), to improve efficiency in library automation, resource sharing and patron access.
The adoption of Voyager at RMIT University was driven by the institutions need for a comprehensive library automation system supporting integration between six branches of the campus library network and interoperability with other university systems and external organisations such as the National Library of Australia.
Voyager was selected on the basis of system functionality, combined with Endeavors strong local and international market presence and the focus the organisation brings to bear on the global library market, said Craig Anderson, director of the University Library at RMIT.
