PPG Foundation presents $1,500 scholarship to SVC student
Saint Vincent College senior chemistry major Krystle D. Eleamos of Bridgeville (second from right) was presented a $1,500 scholarship by PPG Industries operations engineer Stephen Yanity, C90, PPG manager of diversity and organizational effectiveness Laura M. Randall, C87, and Saint Vincent College chemistry department chairperson Dr. Matthew Fisher. The scholarship is funded from a PPG Industries Foundation grant to advance the chemistry program at Saint Vincent College. Chemistry and biochemistry majors are invited to apply each spring semester as sophomores and juniors. The Saint Vincent College chemistry department reviews applications, which include minimum grade point average requirements, an interest in a manufacturing-related field and an essay describing a goal and achievement of a challenge the student set for him or herself.
