IIM-A Confluence celebrates the India phenomenon
The India phenomenon is happening fast. While economics changed the spectrum of the country post-liberalisation and boosted growth and competition, it was a change in Indian politics that changed Indian economics and thus led to what could be called the India phenomenon, the theme for this years Confluence, an annual international management summit at IIM-Ahmedabad.
Post-liberalisation we (the industry) thought well die but we still survived. Managers were empowered, entrepreneurships unleashed on the country and for the first time Indian managers started thinking strategically, Subodh Bhargava, VSNL chairman, said, speaking on the occasion.
