Over the past decade, nano materials have been the subjects of enormous interest. These materials have the potential for wide ranging industry, biomedical and electronic applications. Though much has been anticipated about nano materials, these are still by far relegated to R&D Laboratories and Universities. Practically speaking, nano technology is about manipulating materials on the molecular or the atomic level to give them new properties and functions. Important among these nano scale materials are nano composites. Nano composites are a new kind of materials in which nano particles are the reinforcing materials. The study of nano composites requires multi disciplinary approach, involving novel chemical techniques and understanding of physics and surface science. Te Amity School of Engineering & Technology organized a seminar on Nanocomposites & Technology (ASET), Bijwasan at its premises from February 26-27, 2005.
