John Deere scholarships

John Deere Foundation has awarded scholarships to 10 stu¬dents of Ansal Institute of Technology (AIT), Gurgaon. Each student will receive $1,000. All the awardees are pursuing pro¬fessional undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in collaboration with North Dakota State University (NDSU), US, and would be completing their final year studies at the NDSU cam¬pus in Fargo.The foundation has allocated a grant of $100,000 to the NDSU-AIT cooperation to be utilised over a period of four years.

Sudhir Mehta, associate vice president, NDSU, presented the scholarships to the students based on excellence in academ¬ics. One of the three American students from NDSU, who is cur¬rently studying at AIT on a John Deere scholarship, said: With¬out this scholarship, it would not have been possible to experi¬ence Indian education, culture and the people so closely.
