Microsoft research arm develops landslide warning prototype
Microsofts research arm, MSR India, in association with IIT, Mumbai, has developed a prototype for early warning systems for landslides, a top company official has said.
We have so far developed a lab level prototype for disaster management, which will provide early warnings for landslides, MicroSoft Research India Managing Director P Anandan said at a FICCI-CSIR function here last evening.
Besides, MSR India is also working with the Central Government for three more research projects, which include Virtual India, an online map search engine. With the help of this engine, the users would be able to find any demographic details about any part of the country on their computers.
