A $1,000 scholarship is available to a college sophomore, junior or senior going into graduate school or a graduate student who is a legal resident of Maine, with preference given to a student residing in the St. Croix District.

To be eligible, a student may attend school anywhere but must be studying some form of horticulture. The scholarship, named in memory of Nell Goff, president of the Garden Federation of Maine, is sponsored by the Bar Harbor Garden Club.
