Soldier in Baghdad, Iraq, teaches middle school students many lessons via webcam

Students at McCandless Elementary School got a lesson in geography, history and current affairs in one sitting Thursday afternoon.

About 45 sixth-graders crammed into Linda Parkers classroom, their chairs facing a TV screen.

After a series of technological miscues, they connected with Parkers son in Baghdad. The 31-year-old, Spc. Charlie Maib, was in front of his Web camera, talking to the class on the phone.
