    Amity continues its Social Responsibilities

    As a part of its social responsibility, the Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET) undertook the following activities: 1) Rotaract Club of ASET organized a blood donation camp in which 214 students volunteered to donate their blood. 2) Manifesting the ethical values the students of ASET distributed blankets worth Rs. 15,000/- to the poor and needy during the months of December-January.

Electrolux is fulfilling a corporate social responsibility nationwide by conducting Femme Self Defense Programme through various campuses. It took this initiative forward, first in Delhi and then in other Cities so that the Women of India can live safely, with dignity and respect! Amity in partnership with Electrolux organized this Self Defense Program for four consecutive weekends at the Amity Campus, Noida for the PGDM &MBA Girls. Amity-EMC training programme Prof. Raj Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor of the Amity University and Tom Clancy, Vice President (Education Services & Productivity), EMC Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the EMC Training Programme on Storage Technology. Amity organised the prize distribution ceremony Amity Talent Search Examinations Amity Institute for Competitive Examinations (AICE) organised the prize distribution ceremony for the 54 awardees of Amity Talent Search Examinations (ATSE) at its campus recently. Over 5000 students from 80 schools of Delhi and NCR participated in the event. The winner, Nikhil Goyal student of Amity International School, Noida was awarded a laptop, followed by Jatin Batra of Cambridge School, Srinivas Puri, Syed Daud Ali of Amity International School, Saket and Tanvi Saxena of Amity International School, Noida who were awarded desktop.

Three of the Amity Alumni got a chance to listen to the Sting Concert on Feb. 06, 2005 at Dilli Haat Grounds, Pitampura. Among the lucky winners was Mr. Rishi Aggarwal, alumni from Amity School of Communication & Mr. Gautam Singhal, an ex- student of Amity Law School. The Amity Space Set team comprising 12 students of Amity International School, Saket, has been declared as one of the Finalists for the International Space Settlement Design Competition (ISSDC) to be held at NASAs Johnson Space Centre located at Houston, Texas, USA, in July 2007. To promote scientific fervour and zeal amongst students, the Amity Science, Technology and Innovation Foundation (School Wing) has launched the Amity Aeronautics and Space Centre (AASC).
