South Africa: Kenyan Wins Scholarship to Train in South Africa

Swimmer Pina Ercolano is set to join Pretoria High Performance Training Centre in South Africa.

Ercolano leaves on January 7 and will stay at the centre, on a scholarship, until July 2008.

Another Kenyan, Ramadhan Vyombo, joined the centre in October, Kenya Swimming Federation chairman Ben Ekumbo said on Tuesday.

The swimmers will improve their performance because they will undergo specialised training, Ekumbo said.
