IIM-B to reserve seven per cent seats for OBCs

The Indian Institute of Management here will reserve seven per cent of its seats for OBCs this year, taking its total student intake to around 280.

Of the Rs 145-crore proposal put forth before the government for implementing the quota by IIM-B, the government has agreed to give one-third, amounting to Rs 45 crore, its director Prakash Apte told reporters here today.

We also asked for additional land to put up necessary infrastructure and other facilities to accommodate the increased number of students but that has been put on hold.
