Going the Distance — Spicing up triathlon training
TRIATHLON TRAINING just got a boost in Frederick.
For anyone with a little extra cash and the willingness to give up a weekday, the Frederick YMCA is offering an intensive triathlon training course. Participants can take the class once or return week after week for more tips or to log in the training hours.
Chrissie Reimnitz, assistant director of health and wellness, wanted to explore the possibility of a triathlon event at the YMCA. She and Herb Spicer, a local triathlete and personal trainer who often works at the YMCA, decided instead to launch Triple Threat, a training class for triathlons. The class starts this Thursday at 10 a.m. at the YMCA.
