IIM Bangalore course to help ex-servicemen find jobs
The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) will train officers of the armed forces in management skills to help them find employment in the private sector. The six month certificate course was inaugurated on Monday by Director General (Resettlement) Major General Harwant Krishan.
The high levels of leadership skills in the armed forces is not to be found anywhere else, Krishan said. They will make a great contribution to the corporate sector.
The first batch of 80 officers will attend the middle management level programme which teaches core business skills and competence. IIMB will also help place the trainees in suitable positions.
